These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at pimlicosurveyors.com and the provision of surveying services by Pimlico Surveyors Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or engaging our services.
1. Website Use
1.1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
1.2 Permitted Use
You may access and use this website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You must not:
- Use this website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website or its related systems
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
- Reproduce, copy, or distribute any content from this website without our prior written consent

2. Surveying Services — Terms of Engagement
2.1 Application
These Terms apply to all surveying services provided by Pimlico Surveyors Ltd, in conjunction with any specific written terms of engagement issued to you at the outset of an instruction.
2.2 RICS Standards
All surveys and valuations carried out by Pimlico Surveyors Ltd are conducted in accordance with the applicable RICS Professional Standards and guidance notes current at the date of the survey, including (as applicable) the RICS Home Survey Standard, RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book), and the RICS Guidance on the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
2.3 Quotations
All quotations provided by Pimlico Surveyors Ltd are valid for 28 days from the date of issue and are subject to confirmation upon acceptance. Quotations are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry; if the property description materially differs from that provided, we reserve the right to revise our fee.
2.4 Instruction and Access
Your instruction is confirmed upon written acceptance of our quotation. You are responsible for arranging access to the property for our surveyor on the agreed inspection date. Where access is unavailable at the agreed time through no fault of Pimlico Surveyors, an abortive fee may be charged.
2.5 Report Delivery
We aim to deliver survey reports within 3–5 working days of the inspection date. We cannot guarantee delivery within this timeframe in all circumstances and accept no liability for losses arising from delays outside our reasonable control.
2.6 Scope and Limitations of Surveys
All surveys carried out by Pimlico Surveyors Ltd are non-invasive visual inspections unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing. We do not move furniture, lift floor coverings, open up voids or cavities, or carry out testing of services (except where expressly included in the instruction). Our surveys are limited to accessible areas of the property. The report will note areas that were not inspected and the reasons why.
2.7 Payment
Payment is due upon delivery of the survey report, unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing. We accept payment by bank transfer and major credit/debit cards. We reserve the right to withhold delivery of the report until payment has been received in cleared funds.
2.8 Cancellation
You may cancel your instruction at any time prior to the inspection date by providing written notice. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled inspection may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed fee. Cancellations made after the inspection has taken place will be charged at the full agreed fee.
3. Liability
3.1 Liability to You
Our liability to you in connection with the provision of surveying services is limited to the fee paid for the relevant service, except where such limitation would be prohibited by applicable law (including in cases of death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence).
3.2 Consequential Loss
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, or loss of anticipated savings, arising in connection with our services or this website.
3.3 Third Party Reliance
Our reports are addressed to the named client only. We accept no liability to any third party who relies on the contents of a survey report without our prior written consent. If you wish to share a report with your mortgage lender or any other third party, please notify us in advance.
3.4 Professional Indemnity Insurance
Pimlico Surveyors Ltd maintains professional indemnity insurance in accordance with RICS requirements. Details of our insurance cover are available on request.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, and design — is the property of Pimlico Surveyors Ltd or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Survey reports produced by Pimlico Surveyors Ltd are our intellectual property; you are granted a licence to use the report for the purposes for which it was commissioned.
5. Links to Third-Party Websites
This website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over third-party content and accept no responsibility for it. The inclusion of a link does not imply our endorsement of the linked website.
6. Privacy
Your use of this website and our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
7. Complaints Procedure
We are committed to providing a high-quality service. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us in writing at complaints@pimlicosurveyors.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 28 days.
As an RICS-regulated firm, we are required to maintain a complaints handling procedure and have access to a Redress Scheme. If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer the matter to the RICS Dispute Resolution Service.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. Continued use of this website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page.
